Punjab government to bear expense for treatment of APS Peshawar injured student

Punjab Chief Minister spends time with the students of Army Public School PeshawarLahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has announced to bear the expenses of a student of Army Public School Peshawar who is under treatment in Britain.

The student Ahmed Nawaz who was injured in Army Public School Peshawar incident had appealed on the stoppage of expenses, upon which, Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has directed to make payment of expenses of Ahmed Nawaz by Punjab government.

It may be mentioned that earlier 40 persons including 23 injured students of Army Public School Peshawar stayed in Lahore and on the direction of Chief Minister, Punjab government borne expenses of their travelling, boarding and lodging. Injured students were treated at Mayo Hospital and Children Hospital Lahore.

Advisor on Health Khawaja Salman Rafique presided over a special meeting on 7-Club Road a few days ago in which renowned Pediatric Surgeon Prof. Shaukat Mehmood, Secretary Health, DG Health and other attended the meeting. The meeting was told that after treatment at local level, documents of three injured students have been sent abroad. On the invitation of Punjab government, the consultant of Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham will especially visit Lahore and examine the children so that the decision about their treatment could be taken.

The Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif showing special affection to the children of Army Public School personally saw off them and also presented laptops as gift on behalf of Punjab government.
