Supreme Court to form Commission for transparent import of LNG: Ch Muhammad Sarwar

PTI Ch Sarwar Pic 21 SepLahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Punjab organiser Chaudhary Muhammad Sarwar has called for constitution of Supreme Court Commission for transparent import of LNG and stressed that a parliamentary committee should be constituted for the appointment of national institutions on merit.

He predicted that the rulers were planning to make government employees as scapegoat to get clean chit for themselves in the corruption in energy projects. He said the by-election in Punjab could not be organised in a transparent manner and demanded that Army should be deployed inside and outside the polling stations.

Chaudhary Sarwar was addressing a public meeting at MPA Aslam Iqbal’s political office in Samanabad on monday. PTI Punjab deputy organiser Omar Sarfraz Cheema, Abdul Aleem Khan, Shoaib Siddiqui and others were present on the occasion.

Chaudhary Sarwar said the rulers were planning to make a biggest dacoity on national exchequer in the LNG project and added that the PTI would foil their attempt. In order to make the LNG project transparent, he said constitution of a Supreme Court Commission was need of the hour. He said the incumbent rulers were crying hoarse that the national institutions’ heads should be appointed on merit but, he regretted, now many national institutions were working without regular heads.

He said the appointment of national institutions’ heads should be made on merit in a bid to end corruption. He, however, said that there was a bleak hope that the rulers would made the appointments on merit.

Chaudhary Sarwar said the PML-N could see its defeat in by-elections quite clearly and that is why it was coercing PTI men and planning for rigging. But, he said, the PTI would not allow the PML-N to use any unfair means. Mian Aslam Iqbal said the PTI would also protest in Punjab Assembly against PML-N’s coercion and rigging plans. He said the PTI would not let PML-N to steal people’s true mandate. As the PTI has defeated PML-N in the court of law, he said, the PML-N would also be defeated in the court of people on October 11.

Abdul aleem Khan said the people in the constituency should vote for them and he and his party would never disappoint them. He said that he would personally for to resolve problems being faced by people in the NA-122.
