Lahore:PML-N leader and chairman Lahore Transport Company Khawaja Ahmad Hassan has elected unopposed Chairman UC-107 as the opponent candidates from PTI withdraw their nomination papers.Provincial Organizer Ch Muhammad Sarwar has taken notice of the withdrawal of PTI candidates for chairman ,vice chairman from UC-107 and 263 and sought report from district organizer Lahore,Shafqat Mehmood.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Punjab organiser Chaudhary Mohammad Sarwar has announced 12-hour daily election campaign for the NA-122 and PP-147 by-election in Lahore.On the first day, he accompanied party candidates Abdul Aleem Khan and Shoaib Siddiqui at over 60 places within the constituencies. Chaudhary Sarwar said the party would run door-to-door by-election campaign from 12 pm to 12 midnight. Chaudhary Sarwar along with deputy organiser Sibtain Khan, Umer Sarfraz Cheema, Parveen Sarwar, Saloni Bukhari and Dr Zarqa visited different areas including Garhi Shahu, Allama Iqbal Road, Icchra and Samanabad.
Addressing the party workers and general public, Chaudhary Sarwar said the PML-N should forget that it would now be able to win the elections through rigging tactics because the PTI was now ready to combat with the PML-N, if it tried to rig the elections. He said the PTI tigers would teach a lesson to those trying to rig the elections that they would remember forever. Chaudhary Sarwar said the incumbent rulers had broken all records of corruption in the country and they would soon be held accountable. He said the PML-N could see its defeat in by-elections written on the wall and that is why it was levelling fake charges against the PTI candidates. However, he said, the PML-N would miserably fail in its nefarious design. He said the people had now made up their minds to vote for PTI candidates Abdul Aleem Khan and Shoaib Siddiqui.
UmerSarfraz Cheema said Shahbaz Sharif was making hue and cry against corruption but he himself was drenched in the corruption. He said Shahbaz Sharif would sooner or later be held accountable for the corruption in the Nandipur power project and Quaid-i-Azam Solar Park project. He said the corrupt rulers must be brought in the dock to put country on the path of progress and prosperity. Abdul Aleem Khan and Shoaib Siddiqui said party chief Imran Khan has expressed his confidence by awarding party ticket for the by-election and vowed that they would win the elections to fulfill party leaders’ expectations.
