Opposition leader demands stoppage of development works in Punjab

Lahore: Opposition leader Mian Mehmood ur Rasheed has demanded the stoppage of development works in Punjab.Talking to media in Election Commission Punjab premises;Mian Mehmood ur Rasheed said as the election commission has announced the local bodies election schedule so development works must be stopped, Punjab govt has issued 7 billions for the development works in 36 districts of the province to the PML-N members of assemblies.We have conveyed our reservation the chief election commissioner and provided him the documentary proofs,now it was the duty of election commission to provide us equal playing field in the elections,he continued.

Mian Mehmood said that Army and the Rangers should be deployed in the elections to ensure the environment for fair and free elections,he also advised the ECP to keep an eye on the transfer & postings in the province.
