PPP ticket holder Aftab Khan and 21 former nazims, nai nazims and councillors join PTI

Lahore: Pakistan Peoples Party’s Punjab Assembly ticket-holder Aftab Khan along with 21 former nazims, nai nazims and councillors have announced joining the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.

In a meeting with PTI Punjab Organiser Chaudhary Mohammad Sarwar, Aftab Khan from Sialkot said the PPP had lost all moral grounds for being accused of massive corruption in its tenure. He said more and more people were looking towards PTI as the last hope to drive this country out of crises. PTI district organiser Muhammad Umer Dar, ISF Punjab president Waqas Iftikhar Butt and others were present on the occasion.

Chaudhary Sarwar said the government’s writ in Punjab had just disappeared and the PML-N would be wiped out of the province like the PPP. “The PML-N and PPP leaders are working under different acronyms but equally looted the country’s wealth,” he regretted. He said the people of Pakistan had now got fed up from the two parties and did not want to bear them any more.

He said the PTI had become the most popular political party in the country and all those politicians, who wanted to serve the masses, were joining the PTI. He said that these joinings would further strengthen the PTI and defeat its political opponents in the upcoming by-election and local bodies’ elections.
