Election Commission orders for repoll in NA-154

Lahore: The election Tribunal have announced its verdict about rigging in NA-154,the tribunal ordered for fresh elections in the constituency as the judge found gross irregularities of the election commission staff in the proceeding though no evidence of rigging was presented.

PML-N Muhammad Sidiq had contested the elections as an independent candidate and joined the party after winning the elections of NA-154 in 2013.He had defeated PTI’s central leader Jahangir Tareen who challenged the results.

Earlier,PML-N and PTI workers held a match of party slogans and fight that continued the whole day as both parties workers gathered outside the election tribunal in the morning at around 8-00AM.A heavy contingent of the police was deputed to control the law & order situation , Anti-Riots force was also there but no cop tried to stop the clash of the rival parties workers.

Jahangir Tareen said that we were positive and sure that the tribunal will give us justice .

Siddique Khan Baloch said that tribunal was punishing the winning candidates on the mistakes made by the election commission staff and that was beyond the justice.
