Dr. Umar Saif visits the newly established Citizen Facilitation Center

Lahore: Chairman of Punjab IT Board (PITB) Dr. Umar Saif made a detailed visit to the newly established e-Khidmat or Citizen Facilitation Center (CFC) at Jinnah Town Hall Lahore on Wednesday. He was accompanied by the PITB team headed by Director General (e-Governance) Sajid Latif.

Dr. Umar Saif checked working and performance of the machinery and equipment installed by PITB there. He also examined the standard of facilities such as sitting arrangements and expressed his satisfaction over the pace of work.

Talking on the occasion, Dr. Saif said that the CFC would be a path breaking initiative in the course of public service delivery as a large number of services offered by the federal, provincial and local authorities would be provided to the citizens under one roof. He told that first CFC was established at Rawalpindi a few months ago that has created a reasonable sense of satisfaction among the citizens.

He told that the services like issuance of certificates of domicile, birth, death, marriage, divorce, registration and mutation of land, issuance of national Identity card, passport, driving license, root permit and payment of Token Tax, traffic fine and numerous other taxes would be possible in an easy and speedy way.

He revealed that the work was in progress on another CFC in Lahore at Arfa IT Tower and one each at divisional headquarters of Sargodha, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan and Bahawalpur. He promised that the CFC visited, would soon be inaugurated to make functional.
