PDMA warns about flood at Chashma in River Sindh

DG PDMA Jawad AkramLahore: Director General Provincial Disaster Management Authority Jawad Akram has said that the department is keeping a vigilant eye on the flow of water in rivers and nullahs including hill torrents as a result of monsoon rains.

He said that district administration all over the province is sending report regarding flow of water in rivers to the government and concerned departments regularly. He said that the flood centers set up at district level in the province are conveying information to the people regularly.

Jawad Akram said that PDMA is providing information through Lahore Flood Warning centers to the people regarding flood alert. He said that there is medium flood at Chashma in River Sindh and Qadirabad at River Chenab where the water level is decreasing. Similarly, there is medium flood at Nullah Ben and water level is also decreasing. He said that all rivers and nullahs are flowing normal throughout the province and there is no threat of flood at any place.
