Lahore: Director General Sports Punjab Usman Anwar, on Tuesday, has congratulated Pakistan cricket team for winning a historic Test series against Sri Lanka after nine years at their home grounds.
In his congratulatory message, DG SBP Usman Anwar praised the great performance of veteran batsman Younis Khan, young opener Shan Masood and other members of national team. “The entire nation deserves huge congratulations on this historic occasion”. He expressed his hope that Pakistan team will maintain its winning run in the next ODI and T20 rubbers in Sri Lanka.
DG SBP said the future of sports was bright in Pakistan. “Sports Board Punjab will continue its efforts to trace and groom the young talented players in Punjab. SBP is also making consistent efforts for the revival of international sports activities in Pakistan,” he added.
