Government stands up in support of DG Butt

DJ Butt with Imran KhanLahore: Soon after the DJ Butt claim that PTI is not paying Rs 8 Crore for his services during the Sit-In in Islamabad,federal as well as Punjab governments have stood up in support of DJ Butt and have started lashing the PTI leadership.

Muhammad Asif Also known as DJ Butt, an entertainer whose beats punctuated political rhetoric at the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf  sit-in in Islamabad last year, claimed on Monday that the party owes him Rs80 million.

“My total payment for playing music at the PTI sit-in was Rs140 million but I have only been paid Rs 60 million so far,” DJ Butt said.

Butt, who has been working with PTI since 2010, said, “My daily pay was Rs0.6 million.” I have to pay  Rs 50 million to people for their services.

DJ Butt claims he had a daily agreement which started off at Rs 680,000 with the PTI during the Islamabad sit-in. “This daily agreement was to cover costs of arrangements and was reduced.”

DJ Buttclaimed that a committee had been formed by the PTI which demanded details for his expenses, “details were provided to the committee three months ago.”

The DJ emphasised that he will not take legal action against PTI Chairman Imran Khan and can only pray to God for his payment.“PTI leader Naeem-ul-Haq has assured me that dues will be cleared,” he added.

 

Meanwhile, Provincial Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs Rana Sanaullah Khan has said that the expenses of 14 crore rupees on music in sit-ins of PTI is a serious joke with the nation. He stated this in a statement, here today.

Rana Sanaullah said that the total expenses of sit-ins cannot be less than ten billion rupees. He said that nation asks Imran Khan from where this amount of billions of rupees has come for sit-ins.

Rana Sanaullah said that another hospital like Shaukat Khanum can be constructed with this huge amount in every province of the country. He said that it does not behoove to those spending billions of rupees in sit-ins to criticize welfare projects like metro bus.

It may be mentioned that PTI spokesman Naeem-ul-Haq has admitted before media that PTI has paid six crore rupees to DJ Butt in the head of loudspeakers and music in sit-ins and promised to pay the remaining amount of eight crore rupees in a week.
