Liberty Grato sealed for poor cleanliness,using rancid oil

Lahore: Punjab Food Authority is continuing campaign against those selling poor, unhygienic and adulterated items.

Special team of Food Authority headed by Director Operations Ayesha Mumtaz raided dry fruit factory working in the name of HSM Marketing Corporation Limited under the supervision of Food Safety Officer Ayaz Khurram and sealed repacking of outdated products. 80 ton products were taken into custody and a case was registered against the accused.

Moreover, Nishtar Town team sealed Rafique Oil Traders on Ferozpur Road due to wrong labeling on oil packing and packing of substandard oil in Banaspati tins and taken 4900 liter oil into custody. FIR was registered against the owners in concerned police station and one person was arrested.

Similarly, Data Gunj Bakhsh Town team raided Benazir Dahi Bhalay Shop at Regal Chowk and sealed due to poor cleanliness arrangements and doing business without food license. Shalimar Town team inspected Sialkoti sweets manufacturing unit at Swaminagar and sealed the shop due to poor cleanliness arrangements.

Allama Iqbal Town team sealed Sajid Sweets in Awan Town, Usama Burger in G-I Market and Janose Restaurant in Johar Town due to poor cleanliness arrangements whereas heavy fine was imposed to Yasir Broast at Thokar Niaz Baig due to poor cleanliness arrangements and stale food in freezer.

Gulberg Town team sealed Liberty Grato at Liberty market and Muqadas Hotel at Faisal Town due to poor arrangements. Samanabad team sealed Al-Khair Foods due to poor cleanliness arrangements. An FIR was registered against the owner and two persons were arrested.
