Former provincial minister Ashraf Sohna announces to quit PPP in protest

mian manzoor wattooLahore: A veteran PPP Punjab leader & a former provincial minister Ashraf Sohna resigned from PPP in protest against the attitude of the party provincial president Mian Manzoor Wattoo and likely to join Pakistan Tehrek-e- Insaf.He will make his formal announcement today in a press conference scheduled to hold in Lahore press club at 5 pm.

Meanwhile, PPP central Punjab president Mian Manzoor Wattoo and party’s information secretary Abid Hussain Sidiqi has made their position clear through a press release stating that Ashraf Sohna was a district president of PPP and he has been suspended from his office after issuing him a show cause notice to make his position clear for contacting PTI leadership to join them.

Mian Manzoor Wattoo said that Ashraf Sohna was trying to join PTI for the last 2 to 3 months,Mehar Gulam Fareed Kathia regional coordinator Sahiwal,District president Pakpattan,Tehsil president Okara and district president Okara had contacted him to redressed his grievances and inquired him in wake of his continuous contacts with PTI leadership but he failed to satisfy the PPP leadership.

Ashraf Sohna was asking PPP tehsil president Okara Rana Basit,Tehsil president Renala Khurd Rana Abdur Rehman,Tehsil president Depalpur Shahzad Nole and City president Okara Aalam Sher to left the PPP and join PTI. Yesterday,as last effort MNA Rana Sultan met him and advised not to quit PPP but he did not mend his way resultantly he has been suspended from district presidentship.
