Punjab government will provide 3.5 billion for the welfare of special persons: Asif Saeed Manhais

Asif Saeed Manias minister for special educationLahore: Provincial Minister for Special Education, Asif Saeed Manhais has said that Punjab government will provide 3.5 billion rupees in new fiscal year for the welfare of special persons. He said that full attention will be paid to the social rehabilitation of special persons including blind persons.

In a statement, the Minister said that Punjab government is taking steps for the socio financial rehabilitation of special persons with available resources. He said that Punjab government will provide Rs. 78 crore to Special Education Department for development and non-development expenditures for the facility of special persons throughout the province.

Asif Saeed Manhais said that 250 special education centers are working under the supervision of government for special persons in Punjab where more than 29 thousand special (handicapped) girl and boy students are studying and free uniform, food and books are provided to them. He said that free aid equipments are also provided to special persons by the government.

The Minister said that scholarships are also provided by the government to special persons at special education centers. Moreover, transport is also available for transportation of special persons and free hostel facility is also provided to them.
