PAT rallies in 10 cities today against JIT report

cops are taking a injured in modeltown after clash with PATmodel Lahore: The Punjab Executive Council of the Pakistan Awami Tehreek met here on Saturday to pay tribute to the on-going Zarb-e-Azb on the completion of one year of the operation. The meeting paid rich tributes to the Pakistan Army and praised its efforts to eliminate terrorists and terrorism from the country. The meeting said the sacrifices the officers and jawans of the Pakistan Army were unmatched and were supreme not only in the eyes of every Pakistani but also before the Allah Almighty.

The meeting was chaired by Dr. Raheeq Ahmed Abbasi and attended by all the provincial office bearers including Basharat Jaspal, Tanveer Azeem Sindhu, Raja Zahid, Haji Walait Qaiser, Mian Abdul Qadir and Raja Nadeem. Dr. Raheeq said that the whole nation is praying every day for the success of the operation and every Pakistani stands by its armed forces and desires that Pakistan be cleared of these terrorists.

The meeting was informed that the PAT will be holding protest demonstrations on the 14th of this month in ten cities of the country against the false Joint Investigation Team’s report. The demonstrations will be held in Islamabad, Abbottabad, DI Khan, Ghotkhi, Hyderabad, Karachi, Larkana, Quetta, Sibi and Dera Allahyar.

The meeting reviewed the arrangements for the June 16 meeting in which the PAT chairman will address via video link from Canada.

The meeting declared the Punjab Budget as anti-poor and pro-rich. Basharat Jaspal said that it was astonishing that the expenditure of the Chief Minister’s House had increased 204 per cent which was against the slogans the rulers had been raising. He said the CM’s secretariat’s budget was Rs 21 crore while the simple CM had spent over Rs 45 crore for which the name of the CM should be included in the Guinness Book of World Record. He said Punjab had to pay mark up to the tune of 17 billion due to the free-spending CM, while this money should have been spent on the education and health schemes for the poor people of Punjab. He said if these rulers remain in power soon every citizen of the country will be reeling under the weight of loans and mark ups and the country will not see any progress.
