University of Education organizes awareness seminar on world environment day

Lahore: University of Education, Principal Township Campus Prof.Dr.Asmat ullah Cheema has said that trees keep environment neat and clean and also put pleasant effects on human life and behaviors as well. Tree plantation not only a Sadqa-i-Jarieya for us but it’s our national responsibility. We should play a healthy role for the betterment and development of our beloved country by planting more and more trees.

He was addressing the awareness seminar as chief guest on world environment day at Division of Education, Township Campus. Assistant Prof.Shaheen Pasha, Event Coordinator/Lecturer Sadia Shad along with other faculty members and a large number of students were present at occasion. Banners and flex were also displayed by the students for highlighting the importance of clean environment. At the end of seminar, an exhibition was also organized to highlight needs and importance of clean environment and trees plantation campaign. More than 150 colorful and attractive posters, photos and models were kept in exhibition.

Principal Prof.Dr.Asmat ullah Cheema and other participants stressed the continuity of such healthy activities by admiring the creative skills of students in strong words. Afterwards appreciation certificates were also distributed among top position holders of exhibition.
