National Party holds demonstration against Mastung carnage

National Party holds demonstration against Mastung carnageLahore: National Party (NP)–Islamabad held a peaceful demonstration here on Monday to condemn the Mastung carnage that resulted in merciless killing of innocent passengers of two Karachi-bound buses at the hands of militants.

The participants protesting in front of National Press Club chanted slogans for the need of establishing peace in the volatile region and said that such barbarian acts against the innocent and unarmed citizen cannot be justified in any civilized society.

Apart from workers of the NP, men and women from various backgrounds including students and civil society representatives joined the procession to raise their voices against this tragic event.

Speaking at the occasion, Ayub Malik, organizer, NP Punjab strongly condemned the attack and urged that government to apprehend the culprits involved in this inhumane act.   He said that the government should work more dedicatedly to suppress terrorism in the country.

Other speakers on the occasion emphasized on the need of peaceful gatherings and processions in order to show the strength and unity of citizens of Pakistan to the anti-state actors who want to create terror in society.

They termed the barbaric act a conspiracy against the working class of Pakistan.

The participants termed the calling of APC by Chief Minister Balochistan, Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch a step towards the right action. However, the urged the government to take immediate and stern measures to ensure the safety of common man.
