18-member group of nursing instructors leaves for China for training course

18-MEMBER GROUP OF NURSING INSTRUCTORS LEVES FOR CHINALahore: Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab on Health Kh. Salman Rafique has said that government is taking solid steps for the development of nursing sector through capacity-building and training of nurses on modern lines.

He said this while seeing off an 18-member group of nursing instructors leaving for China for a one-month training course.

Besides DG Health Dr. Zahid Pervaiz, other officers of the department were also present on the occasion. Dr. Zahid Pervaiz informed that recently an MoU was signed between Punjab government and China Cultural Heritage Foundation (CCHF) under which CCHF offered training of nurses under Aid programme. He said that CCHF will bear all expenses of boarding and lodging of 18-member nursing group. This training would be imparted in Tiajin, China.

Kh. Salman Rafique said that these nurses would get opportunities of upgrading their knowledge and professional skills in clinical management and preventive health. He said that the one-month training course would also build capacity of the nursing instructors and they will gain firsthand knowledge development in nursing sector.

Kh. Salman Rafique said that these nurses would share knowledge to their juniors on their return. He urged upon the nurses to take full benefit of this one-month training and spend maximum time in improving their knowledge and professional skills. Kh. Salman Rafique further said that more nurses and paramedics would be sent abroad for training. He stressed upon the nursing group that as they are going to China as ambassadors of Pakistan, they should make their best efforts for earning a good name for the country.
