A delegation FPCCI meet Punjab CM Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif

A delegation FPCCI meet Punjab CM Muhammad Shahbaz SharifLahore: A delegation led by President Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce & Industry Mian Muhammad Adrees met Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, here today and congratulated him on the inauguration of 100 megawatt solar project at Quaid-e-Azam Solar Park, Bahawalpur.

Talking to the delegation, Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that the role of industrialists and traders is of great importance for strengthening the national economy. He said that sympathetic consideration will be given to the resolution of genuine demands of industrialists and traders. He assured that a meeting of traders and industrialists will be arranged with federal government for resolution of their genuine demands. He said that industrialists and traders should come forward for investment in Pakistan. The Chief Minister said that 100 megawatt solar project has been completed in a shortest period. He said that 900 megawatt solar project will be completed with the cooperation of China in one and a half years. He said that the operational cost for generation of electricity from solar energy is very low as compared to oil, gas and coal. Shahbaz Sharif said that work is continuing on energy projects round the clock. He said that economic package of 46 billion dollars given by China will change the destiny of the country and the nation. He said that there will be revolution in industry, agriculture, trade and economy and thousands of people will get job opportunities. The Chief Minister said that the projects being started with the cooperation of China are game changer. He said that we will have to work diligently as a nation and spend all our energies for benefiting from this opportunity. He said that work is being carried out on war footings for coping with energy crisis. Shahbaz Sharif said that federal government will start projects of 2400 megawatt and Punjab government of 1200 megawatt through gas in Punjab. He said that Punjab government will provide capital for the gas projects from its own resources. He expressed the hope that a number of energy generating projects will be working by 2017-18. He said that a 300 megawatt plant is being installed through indigenous coal at salt range.

President Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce & Industry Mian Muhammad Adrees said that the performance of Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif is a clear proof of his best leadership abilities. He said that the development made during the tenure of Shahbaz Sharif in Punjab is unprecedented. Trader leader Iftikhar Malik said that Shahbaz Sharif believes in public service and has served the people of the province round the clock. He said that Shahbaz Sharif has completed public welfare mega projects speedily. MNA Pervaiz Malik, Chairman Trade Development Authority of Pakistan SM Munir, Chairman United Business Group, Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce & Industry Iftikhar Ali Malik and other traders also spoke on the occasion. The Chief Minister also hosted a dinner in honor of the delegation.
