PU serves legal notice on private TV channel anchors

Lahore: The Punjab University administration through legal advisor Malik Muhammad Awais Khalid has served legal notice on private TV’s anchors for mental agony, damaging reputation and defamation through leveling biased and baseless allegations contrary to the reality.

In the program, realities and facts were deliberately hidden and facts were either distorted or completely ignored defying journalists’ code of ethics. It is said in the legal notice that it was their duty to verify the truth and veracity of the statements and allegations. It is said that without making even a semblance of effort to verify the truth from the University Spokesman, but allegations were presented in malafide and irresponsible manner.
