ASP Chung Irfan Sammo discharged from the hospital

Lahore: ASP Chung Irfan Sammo who was wounded in a shoot out on Thursday night,has been discharged from the hospital after a successful operation.

An alleged robber was killed during ‘shootout’ .The investigators are yet to ascertain the identity of the deceased. However, the body was shifted to the morgue for autopsy.
According to police , four robbers were fleeing after snatching a car (LEA-3907) from Asif when a police team headed by ASP Chung reached the spot within a few minutes. As the police team started chasing the bandits, they opened fire on the police vehicle, triggering an armed encounter in the residential locality. The policemen also retailed. “When the fire was stopped, one of the robbers was found shot dead while his accomplices fled,” a police investigator said.
ASP Chung Circle Muhammad Irfan Sammo sustained bullet injuries and was rushed to the Jinnah Hospital.
