MD Nestle Pakistan Magdi Batato calls on Chairman PITB Dr Umar Saif

Lahore. Chairman PITB Dr Umar Saif briefs to the MD of Nestle Mr. Magdi Batato and his team. Nabeel Qadeer and Ms. Samra Maqbool are also present. 16-4-15Lahore: Chairman Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) Dr. Umar Saif said that the first ever and largest start up incubator of Pakistan Plan 9 had a great potential of joint venture with the local as well as global entrepreneurs and organizations like Nestle.

He was talking to the Managing Director of Nestle Pakistan Mr. Magdi Batato who visited PITB along with his team members last day. Director of Plan9 Nabeel A. Qadeer and Communication head of Nestle Ms. Samra Maqbool also witnessed the occasion.

Dr. Saif said that Nestle had been closely working with the farmers in agriculture and livestock sector while PITB had collected the database of over 1 million farmers from across the Punjab that creates an ample space of collaboration for both organizations. He ensured that the PITB’s innovative initiatives like Plan9, PlanX & Plan9 Tech Hub would play a model role for the collaborating organizations in catalyzing startups and entrepreneurs.

Mr. Magdi Batato said that since Nestle was planning to start its own entrepreneurship development program, the visit of all the senior management of Nestle to Plan9 and PlanX startups served as an inspiration for his management team. “We look forward to the new era of strong public & private partnership to support the entrepreneurs in Pakistan and anticipate a vibrant role to be played by the PITB in this direction”, he added.

Meanwhile, the Nestle Pakistan’s management team also met with the startups from Plan9 & PlanX that served as an effective source of inspiration and guidance for them.
