Chief Secretary Punjab Khizar Hayat Gondal presides over DCOs conference

Lahore: Chief Secretary Punjab Khizar Hayat Gondal has directed all DCOs to ensure implementation of Marriage Act and initiate action against those violating the law regarding one dish and the timings for marriage ceremonies adding that no leniency be shown in this regard .Chief Secretary Punjab Khizar Hayat Gondal

He was presiding over DCOs conference at Civil Secretariat toady which lasted for more than four hours.

The Chief Secretary said that implementation of Marriage Act will provide relief to the common man. He directed that the process of recruitment of disabled persons under the quota be completed speedily. He said that overseas Pakistanis are an asset of the country and all departments should provide full cooperation to Overseas Pakistanis Commission Punjab in the solution of their problems.

He said that provision of best treatment facilities to the people is the priority of the government and strict action should be taken against those involved in the heinous trade of spurious drugs. He said that dengue and polio campaigns be accelerated in the districts where there is a threat of dengue and polio.

The Chief Secretary issued instructions for taking measures to cope with the threat of potential floods and directed that DCOs should personally inspect all embankments in their respective districts and complete all preparations in this regard before time. He also directed that all possible measures be taken for making wheat procurement campaign successful.

The Chief Secretary said that he will personally review citizen feedback on monthly basis and no corruption will be tolerated in revenue and issuance of domicile. He also directed that an effective system be evolved for monitoring the prices of food items.

Former MNA Saood Majeed, Commissioner Overseas Pakistanis Commission Punjab Afzal Bhatti, Home Secretary, Secretary Local Government and other concerned officers were also present on the occasion.
