Drug squad recovers Indian smuggled medicines from Iqbal Town

Drug squad recovers Indian smuggled medicines from Iqbal TownLahore: Drug squad of Health Department conducted raid at a bungalow in Karim Block Allama Iqbal Town and recovered Indian smuggled medicines and operation gadgets to be used in eye surgery worth crores of rupees and arrested a person.

According to the details, a team of Health Department along with a police party raided at a bungalow in Karim Block Allama Iqbal Town and recovered Indian smuggled medicines and operation gadgets to be used in eye surgery worth crores of rupees. The raiding party comprises officers of Health Department, Drug Inspector Rana Shahid of Samanabad Town and police officials. On receiving the information of raid, Parliamentary Secretary Health Khawaja Imran Nazir also arrived at the site.

Talking to media, Kh. Imran Nazir said that on the direction of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif operation has been started for purging the province of spurious, substandard and smuggled medicines which will continue till the elimination of this heinous business.
