Zain’s murder is a test case for Punjab Chief Minister : Siraj ul Haq

Lahore: Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, has said that the murder of teenaged student Zain was a test case for the Punjab Chief Minister and the judiciary as tyranny could not be wiped out without establishing the rule of the constitution and the law.

Talking to the media at the residence of Zain where he had gone to express his condolences with the mother and other family of the ill-fated teenager, he said that the society must be cleansed from arms. He further said that if an attempt was made to save the killer or the aggrieved family was denied justice, the JI would stand by the victim. The influential people could not be allowed to play with the lives of the poor masses, he added.

Senator Sirajul Haq said that the country was being ruled by the elite who were indulging in all sorts of illegalities and crime on the strength of their wealth and authority. The sons of big politicians were brandishing weapons in the public in broad day light without any fear of the law or the law enforcement organizations. He said that the nation would not forgive those who show any slackness in the administration of justice to the aggrieved family.

Later, Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq JI LHR 01 (7)launched the membership drive in metropolis and talked to media at different membership camps.

On the occasion,Siraj ul Haq , said that the PPP had been scrupulously observing Bhutto anniversaries but it had not implemented Z.A. Bhutto’s  socio-economic programme.

The poor were still running from one end to the other for Roti, Kapra and makan whereas the palaces of the rich were increasing with every passing day, he said. He was addressing different gathering in the Punjab capital marking the start of the JI membership drive.

Senator Sirajul Haq said that the Pakistan Movement was launched from Lahore and the JI had now begun its struggle for the completion of Pakistan from the same city. He said he was trying to bring  the poor workers, labourers, Tonga drivers on one platform, and added that the day the poor realized their power, would be the last day of the rule of the tyrant Vaderas and capitalists, and whoever tried to challenge the might of the masses would perish.Siraj-ul-haq-sb-picture

The JI chief welcomed the formation of the Judicial Commission and said the agreement between the government and the PTI was a big

achievement for him and the political Jirga.

Sirajul Haq reiterated that Pakistan and Turkey should play the role of mediator between Saudi Arabia and Yemen. However, he questioned the role of the OIC and said the OIC should immediately step forward to end the war between two Muslim states which would only benefit the US and Israel. He however added that the defense of Saudi Arabia was the responsibility of the entire Muslim world.

The JI chief said that the corrupt elite that had been ruling the country for the last 68 years

was denying the poor even the right to live. The masses had been crushed due to unemployment and price spiral. The school-age children of the poor were compelled to work in workshops and hotels. The sons of the poor with degrees in their hand, were roaming about in search of class four jobs but in vain because government jobs and protocol were the exclusive domain of the incompetent wards of the wealthy and the feudal lords.

He urged the poor to rise for a change in the social set up, and assured them that the JI was fully prepared to take the elite to the task for their misdeeds, corruption and plunder. The JI had a clean past without any blot of corruption, permits or plots on its record, he added.

Sirajul Haq condemned the removal of the PTI electoral camps by the MQM in Karachi and  said the MQM workers and their leader Altaf Husain should learn from their past mistakes, and the culture of the terrorism in the MQM should be changed. He however said that if the Election Commission failed to hold fair, free and impartial election in Karachi, a number of questions would arise.
