A 15-member delegation of Afghanistan visits Sports Board Punjab office

A 15-member delegation of Afghanistan visits Sports Board Punjab officeLahore: A 15-member delegation of Afghanistan’s top electronic and print media journalists called on Director General Sports Punjab Usman Anwar at his office at National Hockey Stadium on Tuesday.

The delegation keenly observed the sports structure at Nishtar Park Sports Complex including National Hockey Stadium and admired the services of DG SBP Usman Anwar for the promotion of sports in Pakistan.

DG SBP Usman Anwar briefed the delegation about the record-breaking editions of Punjab Youth Festival and other major achievements of SBP during the last three years. “Our talented youth created dozens of Guinness World Records in the recent Punjab Youth Festival event. Our athletes also demonstrated their potential in World Guinness Record Shown held in Italian city Milan late last year,” he informed.

DG SBP also invited the delegation at International Sports Festival scheduled to be held in May this year.

Dr Anwar Jamili, the head of the delegation in his address, acknowledged the influential role of DG SBP for building substantial sports infrastructure in Punjab. “Inviting large number of international teams and holding of mega events despite several problems is definitely a notable achievement,” he added.

Asadullah Daudzai, Project Manager, also addressed on this occasion and praised the services rendered by DG SBP Usman Anwar in a short span of time.

Later, DG SBP Usman Anwar gave souvenirs to all members of delegation.

Following are the other members of Afghan delegation: Hashmat Ullah, Milad Sikandari, Khan Ali Radmand, Mursaleen Arsalan, Ahmad Javid, Ezharullah, Nasir Azizi, Farooq Azizi, Hameed Rahimi, Zia Ul Haq and Aqeel Ahmed.
