Lahore: Defence Minister Khawaja Asif while addressing National Assembly made it laud & clear that if Saudi Arabia’s solidarity or territorial integrity is threatened, Pakistan will defend it at every cost,We have pledged for the defence of Saudi Arabia and conveyed the same to Saudi leadership.
Minister Defence said that if we need to commit troops (for Saudi Arabia) at any stage , we will take this parliament into confidence before sending our troops.
Khawaja Asif said that the conflict (in the middle east) has its fault lines in Pakistan too, we dont want to disturb them.For the unity & solidarity of Muslim Ummah, Pakistan will play its role,he added.
He said that division on sectarian basis being fueled in Syria, Yeman and Iraq, needs to be contained,we will wait for 2 or 3 days as the issue (of campaign in Yemen) is to be discussed at Arab League forum,he maintained.
