PTI condemns the govt decision to terminate SSP Nekokara

SSP Islamabad Muhammad Ali NaikukarLahore: PTI Central Information Secretary, Dr Shireen Mazari, condemned the govt decision to terminate SSP Nekokara who upheld the law and rules and refused to obey questionable govt orders. The govt order to use force against PTI and PAT at D chowk on 31 August 2014 would have led to a bloodbath similar to the Model Town carnage by the Gullu Punjab police.
Mazari stated that because Nekokara showed loyalty to the state and the citizens; and went by the rules and procedures instead of pandering to the PMLN’s personalised rule, he is now being victimised by the PMLN govt. The police force is being destroyed by the PMLN govt which is seeking to make it into a Sharif Gullu force. That is why people have lost all faith in the police force which will demoralise the force itself in the wrong run. At a time when Pakistan is fighting a battle against terrorism and extremism, it needs a highly motivated and professional police force which can look up to and trust. Instead what the PMLN govt is doing is creating an unprofessional police force full of Gullus who pander to the PMLN’s personal whims and agendas. Mazari said PTI finds the termination of SSP Nekokara unacceptable and demands the govt allow the police force to function in a professional, non-political manner.
