Pakistan Hindu Council appreciates the services of Chairman NADRA

PHC_Oct14-2014Ramesh Kumar Lahore: Patron-in-chief Pakistan Hindu Council and Member National Assembly Dr. Ramesh Kumar Vankwani has highly appreciated the services of newly-appointed Chairman NADRA, saying that progress made by him for the preparation of Hindu Marriage Certificate and Death Certificate is remarkable. He was talking to the journalists outside the Supreme Court on Thursday. He told that he himself presented the NADRA certificates sample copies to the two-member apex court, headed by the Chief Justice, on Thursday during the hearing regarding minorities rights.

Speaking outside the court, Dr Ramesh said that the Sindh Government. following the orders of Supreme Court, has also removed hate material in the curriculum and in this regard, a copy of the revised curriculum, that will be taught in the educational institutes across the province, has also been submitted to the court for review. Moreover, the Supreme Court has ordered other provincial governments to offer hate-free syllabus also, Dr. Ramesh informed, terming this a great victory of all minorities living in Pakistan and acknowledged them for their successful struggle. He also lauded the brave role of DPO Thatha Fida Hussain Mastoi for providing protection to the local minorities citizens.

Regarding the protection of minorities worship holy places, the Supreme Court was briefed that the Kyber Pakhtunkhwa Government has accepted its failure to not hand over the Samadhi (Shrine) of Shri Param Hans Jee Maharaj so far, he further said. He told that the registration of Hindu temples and holy places is under process and in this regard, he has meetings with the government high-ups. Dr. Ramesh also pointed out that all provincial governments were unable to finalize the Security Plan for the protection of minorities worship places. The Supreme Court has reportedly ordered the provincial governments to prepare the Security Plan with the collaboration of Dr. Ramesh Vankwani and present the final plan along with the details of necessary required defense equipment, during the next hearing on April 16.

Related to five percent quota for minorities in government jobs, Dr. Ramesh said that the Supreme Court was informed by him that after his meetings with the government officials, special instructions were issued. The court has urged to follow up this issue, he told the reporters. On the occasion, Dr. Ramesh also assured to play active role for the formation of peaceful society, emphasizing that Pakistan Hindu Council is willing to cooperate with law-enforcement agencies and other government-private organizations.
