Farhan Ayub vows to register over a dozen Guinness World Records in future

01 02Lahore: Pakistan’s young Guinness World Record holder Farhan Ayub has revealed his plan to register over a dozen Guinness World Records in future; he expressed his resolve in a statement here on Monday.

Farhan, who performed 38 kip-ups in one minute and took away the 22 kip-ups record from an Englishman during the Punjab Youth Festival 2014, said that he’s preparing to attempt Guinness World Records in at least 15 different categories.

Farhan, who was awarded a cash prize of Rs one lakh during the recent Sports Board Punjab’s Award Ceremony, has expressed his gratitude to Director General Sports Punjab Usman Anwar for providing best sports facilities to Guinness World Record holders and other young athletes. “Sports Board Punjab, under the leadership of Usman Anwar, has always worked for the promotion of sports. The Guinness officials have uploaded around 30 world records on their website recently which is concrete proof of our hard work and Sports Board Punjab’s fair efforts and patronization,” he added.

Farhan said that nobody can deny the excellent services rendered by the Sports Board Punjab. “Our athletes are winning titles not only within the country but also on foreign land as well. It’s SBP which provided us a suitable platform and now the shining athletes are winning laurels in various countries of the world,” he elaborated.
