Cholistan Jeep Rally is a popular event in the world :Rana Mashud

Lahore: Punjab Minister for Sports Rana Mashud Ahmad Khan has said Pakistan was a peace loving country and government was quite determined to uproot this menace from the society at every cost.

He said Cholistan Jeep Rally was a message of peace for the whole world and that’s why it’s called as Peace Rally. Rana Mashud expressed these views at a ceremony organized to see off the 25 jeeps of Islamabad Club from Lahore for the Cholistan Jeep Rally on Thursday. Director General Sports Punjab Usman Anwar was also present on this occasion.

“Cholistan Jeep Rally is a popular event in the world in which 250 jeeps will take part in the contest for the top honours. Providing entertainment and playing opportunities to the emerging youth is our motto,” Rana Mashud said.

Director General Sports Punjab Usman Anwar, in his address termed the youth of the country an asset and future. “Punjab govt is providing best possible platform for the healthy activities. Our doors are open for every talented youth. We will provide every kind of assistance for the grooming of potential youngsters,” he added.

Later, Rana Mashud and Director General Sports Punjab Usman Anwar met with the participants of rally. Both the dignitaries also drove a jeep on this occasion to see off the contingent.
