Jamaat Islami has never supported terrorism:Sirajul Haq

Lahore: Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Sirajul Haq, has said that the JI had neither supported terrorism in the past nor was doing that now.

Talking to newsmen after addressing a Seerat Conference at Jandol Munda in Lower Dir, he however said that the JI was opposing the 21st amendment because it had provided a basis for propaganda against Islam and the madrissahs as the entire blame of terrorism was put on the madrissah students. He demanded that the word “religion” be immediately deleted from the amendment because Islam was the religion of peace and love.pic amir jip

The JI chief said that the Muslims were being pitted against one another in the name of nationality, sect and ethnicity. Whenever there was a bomb blast or terrorist attack in any part of the world, destruction was thrust on the Muslims. As a result, except the Muslim states, there was peace all over the world. He said the 9/11 tragedy had occurred in the US but bombs were being dropped in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan that showed the Zionists deigns against the Muslims. He said that the unrest and bloodletting going on in thirteen Muslims states including Palestine, Libya and Syria was the chain of the enemy plan.

Sirajul Haq condemned the publication of blasphemous cartoons by a French weekly and said that the French government should see reason because the entire Muslim world was in protest over the issue. He appealed to the people to join the Shan e Mustafa Rally being held on Friday, January 23, in Islamabad, and in Lahore and Karachi on Sunday, 25.

He said that under a plan, the Ulema, the madrissahs and their students, turban and Jehad were being targeted and efforts were being made to promote the western culture among the Muslims and involve the Muslim youth in immoral practices. Nudity, obscenity dance and music were beding promoted to detract the youth from the path of Islam.

Sirajul Haq appealed the nation to reject the slaves of Obama and support the slaves of Mustafa (SAW). He said that if the nation expressed its confidence in the JI, the JI would establish a system based on justice and equality and restore peace and stability, and put the country on the path of prosperity.
