Lahore: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has denied that finance ministry was behind petrol crisis ,I accept mismanagement due to fuel shortage .In a statement Ishaq Dar said that we have no business with PSO.He said that finance ministry doesn’t owe a single penny to PSO as of now,responsibility of the petrol shortage will be fixed after thorough investigation into the crisis,he added.
The federal minister assured that petrol crisis would be overcome in next few days and those responsible for the fuel crisis would be held accountable.
Ishaq Dar said that providing fuel to companies producing electricity is PSO’s responsibility,PM Nawaz Sharif himself monitoring fuel crisis,I’m not responsible for looking after PSO’s management,he added.The Minister said that all possible measures are being taken to bridge gap in supply and demand of petrol,blaming ministry of Finance for fuel shortage is not right,oil companies should have maintained their stock,he continued.
