Nation should now rely on cycle, the companion of everyone: Ch Pervaiz Elahi

Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League -Q senior central leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Ch Pervaiz Elahi condemning the petrol crisis in the strongest possible words said that the people were running around for one week for petrol in vain but so far petrol was not available to the consumers whereas gas and electricity’s load-shedding has also been increased.

He said that during the tenure of claimants of ending load shedding, day by day increasing shortage and increase in prices of electricity and gas and now non-availability of petrol was ample proof of failure and inefficiency of the govt., people should rely on cycle and use it for their daily coming and going because the cycle was the best companion of the common and poor man.

Former Chief Minister while talking to PML leaders and workers coming to meet him at his residence here today said that during his tenure everything was in abundance, there was control on prices, law and order situation was many times better, employment was available to the people, new projects were being launched for their welfare and well-being and Punjab was rapidly marching on the path of ideal progress and prosperity but now the situation was before everyone, govt performance and good governance was limited only to the publicity campaign, most essential use item petrol supply has also now been suspended.

Ch Pervaiz Elahi said further that the govt was showing inefficiency and failure in every sector even in provision of security for the girls and boys students whereas these children were the future of Pakistan, according to official facts and figures, most part of development funds of education sector had been utilized on other projects and 26 thousand educational institutions in the province were without boundary walls, in these circumstances this could easily be understood as how true were the claimants in their claims about provision of security to the girls and boys students in their educational institutions. He said in fact the rulers wanted to solve every problem through false propaganda campaign while the life was being made miserable and difficult with every passing day for the common man, claims were being made daily but neither petrol crisis has been solved so far nor those responsible for it had yet been pin-pointed because the rulers themselves were really responsible for the crisis and how could pinpoint themselves as being responsible.
