Fuel station owners created an artificial shortage of petrol under govt umbrella:Dr Yasmin Rashid

Dr Yasmin RashidLahore: PTI Punjab Secretary General Yasmin Rashid said the petrol pump owners have been creating hurdles to provide petrol to the masses. He said Lahore’s daily consumption of petrol is 2.5 million liters whereas the current supply to the city stands at 400,000 liters.

He said PML-N MNAs have their own filling station that’s why Government is not taking any action against this artificial shortage of petrol especially in Lahore.

He strongly criticized Punjab Government governance, which has failed to provide basic necessities to the public.

Dr Yasmin Rashid said citizens had to face a great inconvenience owing to the artificial shortage of petrol in the Lahore. Petroleum product prices have been dropped 50 percent but the poor have not been able to take advantage of that.

She said the fuel station owners in Lahore are trying to create an artificial shortage of petrol to sell it in black market, which exposed the administration of Punjab Government. She said PML-N is doing everything to crush the helpless people of Pakistan.

She urged Punjab Government to check those creating and promoting artificial shortage of petroleum products and stressed on the need for an effective monitoring on the part of Punjab government to check out unprofessionalism of petrol pump owners.
