Revolutionary steps are being taken for the redressal of grievances of overseas Pakistanis

Commissioner Overseas Pakistanis Punjab Muhammad Afzaal BhattiLahore: Revolutionary steps are being taken for the redressal of grievances of overseas Pakistanis on priority basis. A high level commission has been constituted and Chief Minister will himself supervise the working of the commission. Chief Secretary Punjab, Inspector General of Police and other high ranking officers have been included in it.

These views were expressed by Commissioner Overseas Pakistanis Punjab Muhammad Afzaal Bhatti at a meeting in the DCO Office Jhelum where he was briefed about the functioning of the Facilitation Center. Vice Chairman Overseas Pakistanis Commission Punjab Khalid Shaheen Butt, DCO Jhelum Zulfiqar Ahmad Ghumman and other officers were also present on the occasion.

Muhammad Afzaal Bhatti said that Chief Minister is taking keen interest to solve the problems of overseas Pakistanis and he had held overseas convention in his previous tenure in which a large number of overseas Pakistanis had participated. He said that Facilitation Centre for Overseas Pakistanis established in the District Coordination Officer’s office in Jhelum is a system to resolve the problems of overseas Pakistanis at the fast track. He said that this Facilitation Centre for Overseas Pakistanis in Jhelum is a model and centers of this style will be established at the district level across the province of Punjab so that overseas Pakistanis could be encouraged to make investments in their motherland and their problems could be resolved at the fast track. He praised the Facilitation Centre for Overseas Pakistanis in Jhelum. This facilitation centre is one of its own kinds set up in Punjab.

While giving briefing, the DCO Jhelum Zulfiqar Ahmed Ghumman informed that the facilitation centre was inaugurated in May 2014 and it received 106 complaints from overseas Pakistanis till December 2014. He said 101 of 106 complaints have been resolved and remaining will also be resolved soon
