CM gives approval to metro bus project in Multan

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has given approval in principle to metro bus project in Multan. He was presiding over a high level meeting, here today. Metro Bus Project Multan will be 18 kilometers long and will be constructed from Baha ud Din Zikriya University to Chowk Kumharan. About 12 kilometer long portion of the project will be elevated while 21 stations will also be set up. The foundation-stone of Metro Bus Project Multan, costing Rs 30 billion, will be laid next month.metro bus project in Multan

Addressing the meeting, the Chief Minister said that Metro Bus Project is a gift for people of Multan and it will be constructed on modern lines. He said that completion of the project will result in speedy, affordable and modern travelling facilities to students, labourers, employees, teachers, lawyers, doctors and women. The Chief Minister directed that the use of flyovers on the route of metro bus project should also be considered. He said that the project will be executed speedily and in a transparent manner like other projects of Punjab government.

Commissioner Multan Division gave a detailed briefing to the meeting on metro bus project. Chairman Planning & Development, Managing Director Punjab Metro Bus Authority, Secretary Finance, Director General LDA and concerned officers were present on the occasion.
