Prof Fiza ur Rehman Khan passed away

Fiza-ur-Rehman KhanLahore: Prof Fiza ur Rehman Khan, the famous former principal of Government College, Lahore, passed away on Monday at the age of 94. His funeral prayers were held at his residence in DHA, Lahore.

A large number of faculty members, students and Old Ravians attended the funeral prayers. GC University Lahore Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Khaleeq-ur-Rahman, Old Ravians Union President Kamran Lashari and faculty members have offered their deep condolences on the sad demise of Prof Fiza ur Rehman Khan who headed the Government College, Lahore for seven years from 1974 to 1981.

Prof Fiza ur Rehman Khan was known as excellent administrator, competent teacher and a economist of repute. Besides initiating a large of development works for GC, he had also established several student societies including famous Ravians Quiz Society for character building and personality development of students.

In his condolence message to the bereaved family, the Vice Chancellor prayed to the Almighty Allah to bless the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to the deceased family members to bear the irreparable loss with fortitude.

Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has expressed deep sense of sorrow and grief over the death of Fasih-ur-Rehman, former Principal of Government College University Lahore. In a condolence message, the Chief Minister prayed that may Allah Almighty rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage and strength to the members of the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss with fortitude.
