Military Courts are requirement of the circumstances: Ch Brothers

Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League (Q) President and former Prime Minister Senator Ch Shujat Hussain and senior central leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvez Elahi have said that due to extra-ordinary circumstances, amendment in the law by the govt and establishment of the military courts were unanimously supported, now it should show the best results, the government should ensure that no excess is committed with any one because the govt will be responsible for misuse of the law.

Talking to media outside the Parliament House in Islamabad today, they said that the civil courts have important place and role, these will continue work independently and keep hearing the cases.

Ch Shujat Hussain and Ch Parvez Elahi said that that real thing was the intention which should not be bad, setting up of the military courts was the requirement of the time, the USA and India have already done this, Many APCs have been held, due to delay in decisions and implementation of the same had caused hundreds of more martyrdom.

Ch Shujat Hussain said that this was not the issue of the law and the Constitution but requirement of the circumstances, a mother who sends his son to school with books and sandwiches and she receives his cut limbs in the evening cannot be explained that the law and the Constitution, because of this we had asked the Prime Minister to take bold decisions. He endorsed it that in the past law against terrorists was misused, even ordinary cases were sent to the anti-terrorism special courts but this should not happen now. Responding to a question regarding loss of human lives due to delay in decisive measures, Ch Parvez Elahi said that we do not want to indulge in blame game, now right decisions have been taken implementation of which was the duty of the govt. Media and politicians should keep a watch over it so that the best results could be produced and none including the govt functionaries should not misuse the new law. The PML leaders reiterated that the entire nation was standing shoulder to shoulder with the Pak Army for the defence of the country and war of security.
