Lahore: President PTI Punjab Ijaz Chaudhary severely condemned the killing price increases in GST on petroleum products from 17 to 22 percent he said govt. continues to squeeze money out of poor man to pay for their corruption & inefficiency.
He said on one hand they said they would decrease petrol prices on the other hand they are increasing the GST & thus proving their Govt. has totally failed.
Secretary General Yasmin Rashid said this increase in GST will increase the prices of the food items & medicines & this will have severe impact of inflation on poor.
She said that most of the influential people who were either of Sharif family or beneficiaries are given tax exemptions while the poor are being taxed more and more.
She said the consumer deception of the govt. is exposed as international oil prices has nose dive 50 % but the govt. has cut prices 10 %
She said that the rise in petrol prices & the gas shortages will adversely hit the industry there by causing more unemployment she demanded the govt should take back GST or PTI will be on streets in protest.
