JI wants an end to all forms of armed terrorism:Liaqat Baloch

JI LHR 0A1Lahore: Secretary General, Jamaat e Islami, Liaqat Baloch, has said that the JI strongly opposed all kinds of terrorism whether it was committed by individuals, groups, the state or world powers.

Talking to the media men after a local function, he said that the JI wanted an end to all forms of armed terrorism that had been thrust on the country. He said terrorists did not believe in any religion and all those who killed human beings unlawfully were the enemies of humanity. He said the Peshawar tragedy was a most heinous nature of terrorism and its effects would be felt long.

However, he said, it was surprising that under the cover of terrorist incidents, a specific lobby had begun attacks on Islamic teachings, the Holy Quran and the Sunnah, the mosques and the pulpit  which   was an attempt to divide the Pakistani nation.

The JI Secretary General said that the lifting of the ban on executions of the death sentence awarded to terrorists and murders by the law courts was a necessary step in the right direction. However, he said, that the Human Rights Commission, the Amnesty International and a specific lobby in the country was criticizing the executions, which was surprising for the masses as to why this lobby was expressing sympathies with the criminal convicted for terrorism, rape, dacoities and murder of innocent children. He expressed the hope that the government would stand firm on is resolve to do justice and implement the courts decisions.
