Punjab government would established a 100 beds institute of Cardiology in Quetta

Khawaja Salman RafiqueLahore: Punjab government would established a state of the art 100 beds institute of Cardiology in Quetta, Baluchistan on which more than Rs. 2 billion would be spent.

This was stated by Advisor to Chief Minister on Health Khawaja Salman Rafique. He said that Health Department Punjab has sought offers from the well reputed consultancy-firms. He said that as soon the hiring of consultant firm would be completed, the firm will start architectural process, designing and other technical process.

He said that according to the vision of Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, Quetta Institute of Cardiology would be equipped with latest medical equipments and all diagnostic and procedural facilities would be provided in the cardiac centre. He said that QIC will be a precious gift from the Punjab Government as well people of the province for their Baluchi brethren and entire expenditure for the construction of QIC would be beard by the Punjab Government.

Khawaja Salman Rafique said that after the approval of PC-I of the project, construction work would be started on the project and Baluchistan government would execute the construction work with the close liaison of Punjab Government. He said that establishment of Quetta Institute of Cardiology will open new corridors of modern treatment for the people of less-developed province of Baluchistan.
