Pakistan men’s kabaddi team continued their impressive march in the Kabaddi World Cup 2014

United Singhs crushed the Lahore Lions in World Kabaddi League MatchLahore: Pakistan men’s kabaddi team continued their impressive march in the Kabaddi World Cup 2014 on Thursday. They outplayed England by 58-31 and brightened their chances to make it to semifinal of the grand event.

Pakistan dominated the match proceedings right from the beginning. At the interval, Pakistan were 31-11 ahead of their rivals.

Raiders Mohammad Khan, Rehman Ishtiaq and stoppers Musharraf Javed Janjua, Ramzan Jani and Ali Shan exhibited tremendous game for Pakistan and dominated their opponents most of the time.

Sajjad Gujjar and Ramzan Jani grabbed four points each in the overwhelming victory of their team. Stopper Musharraf Janjua displayed his famous form and earned three points. Mohsin Wahla and Rana Ali Shan also contributed valuable part and won several points quite comfortably for the victorious team.

Rehman Ishtiaq, who is one of the youngest players of the Kabaddi World Cup 2014, dodged the English stoppers quite cleverly. He also performed most number of raids in Pakistan’s comprehensive victory. In their next encounter, Pakistan men’s team will play Sweden in Hoshiarpur on December 14.

Earlier, New Zealand women kabaddi team halted Pakistan’s winning streak in Kabaddi World Cup at Sports Stadium, Chohla Sahib, Tarn Taran on Thursday. They handed Pakistan women kabaddi team, who have already booked a berth in the semifinals, a 38-30 defeat, their first in the mega event.

Pakistan team exhibited reasonable performance in the first two quarters and kept the scores at level with the figures of 9-9 and 17-17. However, the green flag bearers could not maintain their level of performance in the remaining two sessions and resultantly lost the encounter by 38-30.
