Foolproof security arrangements should be ensured on Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain:CM Punjab

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that besides Lahore, foolproof security arrangements should also be ensured in the whole province on Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain(RA) and members of Cabinet Committee, elected representatives, administration and police officers should play their active role for maintain law and order.

Issuing instructions to Provincial Cabinet Committee on Law and Order for maintaining an atmosphere of peace in the province he said that sentiments of religious harmony and brotherhood be promoted. He said that cases should be registered against the elements distributing material promoting religious hatred and such literature should be confiscated and indiscriminate action should be taken against such persons.

The Chief Minister said that administration and police should ensure implementation of the security plan evolved for this purpose. He said that four-tier cordon be set up for the protection of processions taken out on the Chelum of Hazrat Imam Husain (RA) and all such processions should be monitored through CCTV cameras. He directed that strict implementation of the ban on loud-speakers be ensured and legal action be taken against the violators. He said that a watchful eye be kept on miscreants.

Shahbaz Sharif said that additional police force should be deputed at sensitive places and all necessary measures should be taken for maintaining law and order. He said that elected representatives should maintain a close contact with administration, people, trader community and Ulema. He warned that he will not tolerate any negligence with regard to security arrangements and supremacy of law will be ensured in the province at any cost.
