Parkinson patient Shakil Ahmad expresses gratitude to CM Punjab

LGHLahore: If on the direction of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, special operation of Parkinson was not conducted, I have to spend the entire life in disability.

These views were expressed by Shakil Ahmed r/o Muridke while talking to media after recovering from Parkinson and muscular stress disease due to Deep Brain Stimulation operation in Lahore General Hospital. His mother Bashiran Bibi and brother Tariq Ali offered thanksgiving prayers on the occasion and said that a number of people had advised them to go to India or America for treatment but they had no resources. In such a situation, on the direction of Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, Principal PGMI Anjam Habib Vohra and Prof. Khalid Mahmood gave him a new life through operation. Mother of Shakil Ahmed told that three years ago after an accident, his son was not able to drink water with his hand but after operation now he has got job.

Prof. Anjam Habib Vohra said that for the first time a successful operation of Parkinson disease and muscular stress was conducted through DBS. He said that there is no dearth or talented persons in medical sector. He said that Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif continues encouragement of talent and provides funds in abundance to health sector, this sector will make tremendous progress.
