Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif presided over a high-level meeting here today to review law and order situation. Federal Ministers Ahsan Iqbal, Kh. Saad Rafique, Members National Assembly Hamza Shahbaz, Pervaiz Malik, Provincial Ministers Col. (Retd.) Shuja Khanzada, Bilal Yasin, Special Assistant Rana Maqbool Ahmed, Member Punjab Assembly Rana Sanaullah, Inspector General Police, Secretary Home and concerned officials were present.
Addressing the meeting, Shahbaz Sharif said that protection of life and property of citizens is the top priority of the government and all out measures are being taken for maintenance of law and order. He directed police to spare no effort for the protection of life and property of the people. He said that all citizens are equal before the law and no one will be allowed to take the law in his own hands. He directed that action should be taken against the miscreants without any discrimination.
The Chief Minister directed that supremacy of law should be ensured at any cost and the elements violating the law should be strictly dealt with.
