Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar presides over Data Darbar Committee’s meeting

C.M SIND 01-12-2014 LAHOREIshaq DarLahore: Federal Minister for Finance & Chairman Religious Affairs Committee Data Darbar Ishaq Dar presided over a meeting at 90-Shahra e Qauid-e-Azam in which important decisions with regard to arrangements of 3-day functions of 971st Urs Mubarak of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh Ali Hajveri were taken. Provincial Minister for Auqaf and Religious Affairs, Mian Ata Muhammad Maneka, Secretary Auqaf & Religious Affairs Hassan Rizvi, senior officers of various departments and organizers Data Darbar Committee attended the meeting.

Secretary Auqaf Hassan Rizvi told that final shape has been given to all arrangements of 971st Urs Mubarak of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh Ali Hajveri and its rehearsal will be held on next week. He told that special security arrangements have been made for devotees and a large number of police and volunteers will be deputed on all gates. He said that walk-through gates will be installed at all gates and metal detectors will be provided to the security staff.

Hassan Rizvi told that the staff of rescue-1122 will be present at all gates on emergent basis. He told that staff of Darbar will also be provided keys of locks and hammers at gates. Secretary Auqaf told that a control room will be set up at Darbar for strict vigilant and the movement of devotees will be checked through eight cameras at gates. He said that the staff of the control room will be changed after 4 hours. He said that encroachments alongside Darbar have been removed and arrangements of drinking water have also been made.

Hassan Rizvi told that traffic plan has been prepared during Urs days and traffic wardens will help in flow of traffic. He said that helpline counters have been set up so that officers of the concerned departments could discharge their duties efficiently. He said that doctors and staff of Data Darbar Hospital, Munshi Hospital and Mayo Hospital have been deputed for providing immediate first aid to devotees and all necessary medicines will be available.

Similarly, three ambulances are being provided in view of emergent situation, he added. Secretary Auqaf told that vast arrangements of langar have been made for devotees which will remain open for 24 hours.

Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar directed heads of all concerned departments to make foolproof security arrangements for devotees as protection of their life and property is our top responsibility. He warned that no negligence will be tolerated in this regard. He said that proper care of devotees will be taken.
