PPP will come into action but not against democracy: Asif Ali Zardari

Lahore: Former president and co chairman of Pakistan People’s party Asif Ali Zardari has said that PPP will neither overthrow govt nor will it allow democracy’s ship sink over because of 4 months of conspiracy dramas,the worst form of democracy is better than the best form of martial law,We decide when govt stays and goes.

While addressing a ceremony held in Bilawal House Lahore regarding 47th foundation day of PPP,former president said that  if the ‘go Nawaz go’ chant appeals PPP workers then he won’t stop them but it should be on their pitch instead of anyone else’s.

He said they are not in a hurry at this time and that they should let Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf  chairman Imran Khan bowl so that the “pitch is corrected”.He said allowing others to play will help strengthen democracy.

Asif Zardari said that the one who is in Islamabad believes in “short politics”, adding that today’s politics has a lot of ‘misguided kids’.He said he now doubts on even cricket career of those who talk about ‘third umpires’. PPP will come into action but not against democracy,he added.

The Former President said that We will show our performance when our turn comes,PPP in no hurry, let the Captain complete his bowling,PPP Foundation Day Functions organized in different cities to highlight struggle, sacrifices rendered by its leaders to strengthen democracy PPP protecting democracy, not Prime Minister,Asif Ali Zardari maintained.

On the occasion Senator Aitzaz Ahsan said that PPP wants continuity of democracy:Prime Minister’s resignation cannot be taken by invading Islamabad and holding sit-ins.
