A new Pakistan cannot be created through joining hands with corrupts:Shahbaz Sharif

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that a new Pakistan cannot be created through joining hands with those who have ruined national economy, got their loans written off, grabbed lands and committed corruption. He said that indecent language is being introduced in politics from container. He said that Imran Khan has created hatred in the society through the use of offensive language. He said that the conspiracy to destroy national economy and to hamper development programmes especially power projects on the historic occasion of August 14, has failed and the politics of sit-ins has also met its death.

Shahbaz Sharif said that projects of investment of billions dollars have been delayed due to the postponement of the visit of Chinese President as a result of sit-ins and the agreements which were to be signed in Islamabad were inked during the recent visit of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to Beijing. He said that sit-ins have caused a huge loss to national economy and the nation is depressed. He said that Pakistan Muslim League-N government led by Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif will lay the foundation of a new Pakistan in accordance with the vision of Quaid and Allama Iqbal and will ensure supremacy of law, justice and constitution, equitable distribution of resources and equal opportunities for all citizens.

He expressed these views while talking to assembly members oCM PUNJAB shahbaz sharif meeting with parliamentariansf various districts and in an interview with a TV channel. Shahbaz Sharif said that an attempt was also made to undermine Operation Zarb-e-Azb. He said that armed forces of Pakistan are fighting against terrorists and thousands of Pakistanis including officers and jawans of Pak Army, Police and law- enforcement agencies besides common citizens have lost their lives in the war against terrorism. He said that the whole nation is united against terrorism but some elements have tried to harm this operation through sit-ins.

Shahbaz Sharif said that Imran Khan has not spoken even a single word in support of Zarb-e-Azb nor extended any help to IDPs. He said that though Imran Khan went to IDPs but only to lament so-called rigging. He said that Imran Khan is continuously misleading the nation through lies and falsehood. He said that Imran Khan also lied that China is giving loan to Pakistan under these agreements whereas the fact is that the totally investment will be made by China under these agreements and Chinese authorities have also clarified this fact.

Shahbaz Sharif said that sit-ins are not staged over positive activities of the government in any country of the world and this form of protest is only against corruption or violation of national interests. He said that PML-N government led by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is working round the clock for progress and development of the country and any attempt to hamper these efforts is the worst kind of enmity to the nation. He said that while the economy of the country is improving, investment is increasing, work is being carried out speedily on power projects and economic projects are being executed, sit-ins, public meetings and rallies in such a situation are a disservice to the country. He said that leaders are supposed to lead the nation and not to mislead the masses through lies and falsehood. He said that Imran Khan had promised from container that he will not tell lies to the nation but he has not given his stubbornness and the habit of telling lies. This behavior on the part of a leader is deplorable, he added.

The Chief Minister further said that Imran Khan wants to come into power through illegal means and that is why, he made an attempt to enact bloodshed in August but Parliament showed unity while the federal government also displayed tolerance and restraint due to which this heinous conspiracy did not succeed. He said that Imran Khan appreciates judiciary only if it gives decision in his favour otherwise he resorts to criticism.

He said that Imran Khan had declared former Election Commissioner Fakharuddin G. Ibrahim as the most suitable person and it was Imran Khan who had demanded that judicial officers be posted for elections. He said that Imran Khan used to praise former Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry but now he opposes him from the container. Such attitude does not behove a person who calls himself a national leader. He said that judiciary has also given verdicts against the government but it has accepted them as it respects judiciary. He said that leaders lead the nation through honesty, courage and hard work and not through lies, falsehood and hypocrisy. He said that Imran Khan raises hue and cry of rigging in elections but he took oath in National Assembly and Khyber Pakhtunkhawa, availed privileges and also congratulated PML-N leadership over victory in elections. He said that it is a longstanding desire of Imran Khan to come into power through any means but people will not allow this desire to be fulfilled.

Shahbaz Sharif said that Imran Khan should have held accountable his companion who got the loan of 24 crore rupees written off but instead he provided protection to him. He further said that the people of Pakistan have given mandate to the present leadership upto 2018 and it will fully respect the mandate of the masses and will remove poverty, unemployment and ignorance from the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif. He said that due to negative attitude of Imran Khan, sit-ins and politics of protest, public welfare projects have been delayed. He said that 100 megawatt solar power plant in Bahawalpur and Metro Bus Project in Rawalpindi were to be completed this year but these projects have been delayed due to sit-ins. He said that politics is not the name of delivering lectures from containers but to serve the masses.

Shahbaz Sharif said that he considers himself Khadim of the people and its serving them sincerely. He said that whether it is flood, earthquake, cruelty or injustice, he personally goes to the victims. He said that it is lamentable that Imran Khan ignored the marooned and inundated people and instead of helping them remained busy in music shows in Islamabad. He said that such attitude is not suitable for a leader. He said that Imran Khan should give up his politics of stubbornness and arrogance and play a positive role for national progress and prosperity.
