Punjab Deaf Cricket Team departed for India

Punjab Deaf Cricket Team departed for IndiaPunjab Deaf Cricket Team departed for IndiaLahore: Punjab Deaf Cricket Team departed for India on Tuesday for taking part in the 6-Nation Deaf Asia Cricket Cup being staged in Indian city of Dharmashala, Himachal Pradesh.

Director General Sports Punjab Usman Anwar saw off the team at National Hockey Stadium. DG SBP expressed his hope that Punjab Deaf cricket team will offer good performance in the Asian event. “Pakistan has plenty of cricketing talent and that’s why we are quite upbeat about our performance in India.

Punjab Deaf Cricket Team also had a photograph with the DG SBP, also arranged lunch for the departing cricket team. The 20-member Punjab Deaf Cricket Team is being led by Usman Ali. Azhar Aziz Mir will perform as manager of the tea. The event will be contested from November 19 to 25, 2014.

The six participating teams are: Pakistan, India, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal.
