Lahore: Provincial Minister for Cooperatives Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar has said that financial assistance is being provided to flood affectees for compensation of losses to their houses and crops. He said that an amount of Rs.2 billion is being distributed among more than 75 thousand flood affectees of district Muzaffargarh. He said that pay orders are being issued in a scientific method through eight payment centers set up for this purpose which can be encashed from five scheduled banks. Malik Iqbal Channar said that payments will be made to the affectees by November 25. He said that these payment centers are providing services to the affectees from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm.
Minister for Cooperatives paid a surprise visit to these payment centers. Transport and food arrangements have also been made by the administration and affectees were transported from their houses to payment centers where they were served with tea and biscuit.
